The Moreton Bay Wildlife Hospital
The Moreton Bay region has no dedicated wildlife hospital. Every year, thousands of injured and orphaned animals — koalas, possums, seabirds, reptiles and marine life — are triaged by volunteer carers with no central facility, no surgical suite, no ICU. That is about to change.

South-East Queensland is one of the most biodiverse and fastest-growing regions in Australia. Habitat clearing, vehicle strikes, domestic attacks and extreme weather mean local wildlife is under pressure like never before — yet the entire response sits on the shoulders of a volunteer carer network operating from kitchens, garages and spare bedrooms.
The Moreton Bay Wildlife Hospital changes that. A purpose-built facility with surgical suites, intensive care, rehabilitation enclosures and a training centre will give carers a permanent home base, give animals the clinical care they need, and give the community a place to back local conservation with confidence.
